Siam @ Siam Design Hotel & Spa Bangkok

well designed business hotel
location, design & friendly+efficient staff
8.7
the hotel is well designed and it got a very good location juz right in the centre area with many large shopping malls and restaurants. The skytrain station is juz right beside this hotels and there are few massage outlet nearby. Everything is juz within walking distant.

Not as good as before
Convenient location, wide selection of breakfast
8
I have always been staying at Siam@Siam whenever I go to Thailand, which is quite often. However, recently, I noticed it's not as good as before. The design/decor is still nice, bed is rather comfortable, but the internet connection really bothers me a lot - it logs you out every few hours and force you to enter the user id & password over and over again! Also, the staffs at the reception/lobby are not always friendly. For example, couple of times, I had to run to the lobby in the middle of a night to get a new set of wifi password - because the staff refused to deliver it to my room.

A bit of Luxury right in the shopping hub
Location, pricing and modern
10
We only stayed 3 nights but it was a very comfortable 3 nights. Although most of our time in Bangkok was out sightseeing, we managed to have some pool time and to check out the hotel facilities. It seemed that most of the decor was made from recycled products which was comforting to see and still provided a modern look and stylish effect. The pool area provided a view over Bangkok along with the roof top, most spectacular at night. We did not have a chance to have a drink at the roof top bar but it looked amazing. The location of the hotel was ideal and just a short walk to MBK and Siam shopping malls. The skystrain was basically just outside the hotel. Our room was very comfortable and we slept well with minimal noise. The staff were always so friendly and helpful and we were able to check in early as we arrived on an early flight into Bangkok. In a nutshell, I would recommend a stay at this hotel. If we ever have a chance to visit Bangkok again and if the price is right, we would certainly stay here again.

Centrally located. Staff really friendly
Pool, rooms great size, really comfortable beds, great location
9.7
Fantastic, great breakfasts, rooms really comfortable, staff really helpful. Centrally located.

nice room, great ambience. very good location.

Overall nice design hotel with a bit more privacy. Very good location, very near to train station, supermarket, convenient stores, shopping malls etc. WIFI connection was fast. Bathtub was tiled instead of ceramic so not too clean to be use in my opinion so ended up using the shower hose. Room has more than enough power points to charge up your electronic devices. Definitely recommend this hotel to people with a bit more budget and looking for a nice place in a central location.

city stay
location,transport,pool
8.7
siam siam was pleasant great location near transport and shops, the breakfast was nice the staff are professional ,the pool is nice this was our second stay here would recommend

Nice design hotel with decent facilities and room
Good facilities, Comfortable room, good location
7
It was a decent stay. The design was nice and facilities were well equipped. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast has a decent spread of variety and was nice. The down points were the carpark has insufficient lightings, the rooms and common corridor was quite dim as well, and lastly, there were 2 instances whereby the service staff were rude to my wife and me. 1st instance was that the receptionist did not gave us the wifi password to us upon checking in, hence, my wife called and the receptionist was very rude and inpatient to her. 2nd instance was during the checking out, the duty manager at the reception counter was rude and inpatient to us. These 2 instances had tarnish the nicely designed and name of the hotel.

Pleasant experience, close to Siam shops
Location, rooftop bar, boutique surroundings
8.3
Our stay was without complaint. The room was nice, artsy and comfortable. The rooftop bar was a good place to relax on a balmy Bangkok evening, taking in all the lights of the big city.

Best value for money that I had for years!
Design is edgy, thoughtful, creative food, service is warm and unpretentious
8
It's hard to be picky when you get such a good value for money; a lot of 5 stars wouldn't be able to measure to that standard, yet it's delivered in a simple, friendly and unpretentious way that make you wonder why not everybody would do the same? So, a great 5 stars that look like an art gallery/ designer's home. Of course the staff could brush up their language skills, but that's valid for Bangkok in general.

great
central location, nice staff, great rooms
8
First off I have to say that I was a bit disappointed by the swimming pool which has indeed a great view, but I found the water not so clean, and the area next to the pool actually quite small. Other than that, the hotel is 2min away from National Stadium station on the BTS line, has all you need, is super clean and nice, rooms are great, everything is perfect! The best thing I would say is the amazing breakfast buffet, which has to be in the top ten I've seen in the more affordable range of hotels. Really great! I will definitely come back.

Comfortable, great staff, rethink value for money
1. Close to sky train so Bkk is at your finger tips. 2. Funky/arts atmosphere. 3. Great bed.
8
This was my second time at Siam@Siam. I must have got an upgrade the first time without knowing it. First time I had a large room with a king bed and it was spectacular. This time I got a small room with two beds put together. It was ok but i was hoping for the big room for the money I spent. AUD $112 a night is a lot for Bangkok. In Australia you expect that but in BKK I want a lot of bells and whistles for that price. Staff were faultless. Cleanliness was amazing. Comfort was great but a small room put me off for that price. If you can put that aside, which I did, then Siam@Siam is a great place. If I paid about $70 a night i would have been happy. Bit $112 when I got a bigger and no better room last time pit me in the 'will seriously need to reconsider' basket. I will look around harder next time for that price. Having said that, if you haven't been to BKK before and don't know what to expect, this hotel is fine for the BKK experience. Close to major shops (can walk) and the Sky train it is an ideal location. Service is first class and comfort is great. If you are not worried about a few dollars in comparison with a less expensive place, don't hesitate to stay here.

great hotel, restaurant needs improvement
design, location and spa

great stay, good value for money except the restaurant on the roof top. Poor

Ambassador Hotel Bangkok

value for money
location location location
5.7
room is okay but a bit boring and check in and out took so long. big counter but only 2 staffs run around working. lift took so long to go anywhere. 1 night and don't think i will come back.

Too noisy
Location, price, room upgrade
4.7
I was upgraded to a suite which the check in staff was very friendly to do, unfortunately there seemed to be a big group of Indians that decided to have their discussions on the corridors between the rooms , as many people complained hotel staff was called to help but it didn't help, I will never again stay and will not recommend this hotel to anyone breakfast was a nightmare as well, all trays empty most time

Decent Hotel in Excellent Location at Bangkok
Location, Convenience
7.3
Stayed here twice last few weeks with family. Pros: Decent facilities, great location, convenience of restaurant, 7/11, taxis, shopping malls. Cons: Lousy wifi, non-tower section does not have wifi at room, dining gets very crowded in the morning, cleanliness of the room is not upto mark, amenities are quite old, front desk service needs improvement.

Impressive building, that's all!
Very clean, location suits me, impressive building
6
The vast building may be impressive, but when u have to walk 150 metres just to get to the lift, well....!!!Obviously the management don't believe in investing in their staff, who were very much amateurs. Please provide some training and professionalism.Outside the room the lift bell sounds all night and the many uncontrolled African and Arab children make a lot of noise. In the restaurant I asked for a omlette with onion and tomato, but, no tomato today, she says.(4 star hotel?). Some of the receptionist (maybe) smile, but they take great care not to do this in front of the guests.

Good Location
Location-Rate-Room
6.7
I'm a regular visitor - however experienced two improvement areas : 1. Shortage of food in breakfast and long time to replenish - and few items never came back! 2. Even 1 hr extention for check-out was granted to me - remember for numerous occassion when I had to wait for my room to get ready. Indeed upset this time.

Great and Nice hotel to stay in!
Great location, Cleanliness, friendly staff
9.3
This hotel looks great. It's great for people with budget and yet wants to stay in nice hotel. BTS nearby and it is very accessible to many other places, with great bars and restaurants nearby!

Great location friendly staff. The hotel was neat and clean as well, room service was excellent and the food ordered in hotel was inexpensive as well

smelly
location, size of rooms, staff
6
Rooms need some renovation, dirty badrooms and the hotel smells bad, checked out after 1 day

If you like the oldies
location, price, ok staff
6.7
This place is old and in need of a remodel. I'm sure back about 20 years ago it was great and worth over $200 a night. I would have been upset if I spent that kind of money. Location is great for BTS and entertainment is close by. If you get a great deal then it's probably a good place to stay.

Need to manage guest behavior
Location, value, service
6.3
Clean, functional renovation for this old lady of Sukhumvit Hotels. Good price and service. However in the need to cater to package tours they seem to be allowing guests to have 3-4 children in room with parents and make no attempt to manage these guests as kids use hallways as playgrounds. Toys, eating noisy. Not the kids fault but hotel should manage this as it did not seem to be isolated instance.

Excellent location if you are a foodie
location

perfect location, 1 min to BTS, taxis n tuktuk readily available, proximity to major malls.

Ok middle class hotel
The location is good, there is many restaurants around and it's close to Nana MTR rail station as well as nightlife
6.3
Stayed in standard room, the room was a bit disappointing and didn't live up to photos on Agoda, there was very much noise from other rooms and from corridors throughout whole night I would consider staying again but it would not be first choice Paul, Denmark

Hua Chang Heritage Hotel

My new favorite hotel in Bangkok
Decor/ Ambience, Staff and Location
9.7
Amazing! From the moment you walk in, and the front desk staff asks you to sit down at one of the many couches while they handle the registration was the start of a great experience. Impeccable staff service. I forgot to request for a smoke-free room, and the windows didn't open, so our first room smelled like an ash tray. Next morning, I ask the front desk and they asked us to pack our luggage and will move us to a smoke-free room. When we came back from a day of shopping, the front desk recognized me and without hassle walked us to our new room. Nice hi-tech room with great movable doors that allow you to sit in the living room in the bathtub.

Staff issue
design, parking
6.7
Not really good as staff accuse me of having extra person where there is no extra people. And ask me to pay extra charges where I disagree and demand them to do a check on their camera. It was the cleaning staff who report this. And no answer to me. Disappointed.

Beautiful hotel, good location, value for money
Beautiful hotel, good location, value for money

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our 3 nights stay. Service was top-notch during check in, very friendly and professional. Something I don't even experience in other 5 star hotels. The room was beautiful and they took the effort to decorate it as well as it was our anniversary. Really liked that the location was close to Siam and MBK shopping districts. Overall a superb stay and I will strongly recommend this place to my friends and colleagues. If I come back to visit bangkok again I will also definitely return to this hotel. Again, thumbs up for the great stay Hua Chang.

Great Location. New Hotel.
Location, Price and the fact that it is only 1.5 years old.
10
Our stay was brilliant. Except for the fact that check-in is at 2PM and check-out is at 12PM (our flights were not very aligned to these limitations), it is the most ideal hotel you can book for your visit to Bangkok!

Great stay with friends
Location, clean and cosy room.
9.3
We booked the deluxe room with extra bed (for 3 adults). The room was clean, spacious and cosy. The extra bed surprisingly was very firm and nice, just right for me. Breakfast was decent, with a good mix of local and western dishes.

Will definitely stay again!
Cleanliness, good location and friendly staff
7.7
A very nice hotel with modern classy design. Lighting, air conditioner etc control via touch screen pad in the drawer. Friendly staffs too. Location was good with walking distance to MBK and other malls. What not so good is too near to main road and have little noise from traffic outside and internet speed a bit slow..overall, we enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back again!

Tacky and Chariming
Location, cleanliness and room
6.7
The rooms were comfortable and the place provided everything that was required. It was clean and right down town, so if your main purpose in Bangkok is shopping, then this is a good place for you. On the other hand, the furnishings, while ample, clean and comfortable were tacky. I also had one of the worst Pad Thai's in my life, so don't order it. I didn't order anything else as I figure if you cannot cook a good Pad Thai in Thailand, then I will just eat somewhere else.

Nice and Confortable
Room Size, Cleanliness and Hotel Design
7.3
Generally the hotel was good. Bathroom is big, bed and room is clean and comfortable, room is spacious enough. Location is near Siam BTS, short walking distance.

Good location with spacious room
good location, spacious room and nice decor
7.3
the hotel is located near to the city shopping district hence say to find food and amenities. Its is a 5 min walk to the nearest subway station. The hotel has nice decor and specious room with luxury feel.

I really enjoyed my stay in bangkok as always.
Staff Rooms Pool
9.7
I really enjoyed my stay at hua chang, the top on the list is the staff. Ever attentive and thoughtful and eager to do better. Kudos to the manager! Great staff training!

Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok

Amazing
I love everything in this hotel
10
I know Shangri-La from its famous brand for luxury hotel around the world. This is my romantic trip with my girlfriend, so i need to find a comfort and luxury hotel. My choice to choose Shangri-la wasnt wrong. This hotel is perfect.

Perfect
Location, luxury, comfort
9.7
Best of the best. Completed my perfect trip. Will come again

My stay in shangri la was great ,
I love the environment there , the friendly staff there was great n it is also very easy to go sight seeing by river boat
7.7
My stay was great , friendly staff , nice environment , the river view from the hotel room was nice and easy to go anywhere u want

a liitle dissapointing this time
staff food location
7.7
as usual a great hotel but disappointing due to economic and political factors they had chosen to stop all food and drink service in the wing we were staying. An email was never sent as suggested to us should have been, to advise us of this and the alternative inclusive High afternoon tea and drinks pre dinner that were then offered at the Horizon club instead were of an inferior nature both in choice, service and décor. (seemed more like a lounge at an airport!!!!) Very disappointed as we had friends staying in another room that had not been to the Shangri La previous and we paid for the upmarket package without truly experiencing it this time. In fairness the staff were as usual very helpful but I feel management should make some compensation and personal apology

Luxury
Friendly staff, comfortable rooms luxury.
9.3
Recommend upgrade to horizon club. Clean, comfortable , friendly , luxurious hotel. Worth a stay in the main hotel not the wing (as restuarant is currently under construction in the wing)

nice and relaxing
location, balcony, and view

great and romantic

Exactly what a 5 Star Hotel should be
The room, the service, the breakfast
9.3
We began our holiday here, and weren't disappointed. Check-in was prompt and we we given a complimentary breakfast, a nice way to start your visit. The staff were superb, from the concierge and bellboys to the gardeners. The hotel has an older traditional style, which suits it well. It is enormous, well appointed, and nothing looks worn. The pool and fitness areas were beautiful and staffed by attentive and knowledgeable staff. The room was lovely, with a river view, and well appointed. Room service was very fast. Other niceties included not only free high-speed internet, but also the ability to download complimentary papers via your tablet, using the Press Reader. Every morning a International New York Times appears at your door. The breakfast buffet is a splendid mix of Asian and American breakfasts. There was simply nothing at this hotel that was not top notch. It is what I imagine a 5 -star hotel should be, but most fall short. Not the Bangkok Shangrila-La

having such a relaxed time with my friend.
friendly, luxury, comfort
7.7
overall, fine

Friendly Staff, Good Food,Standard not consistent
Staff, Food, Luxury
8
Friendly Staff, toilet flush very noisy. Standing shower temperature very slow warm up, takes around 5-10 minutes. Walk from Krungthep Wing to main wing for breakfast is 3 min walk. Have two building, one is krungthep , which is more luxury and more expensive. Main wing is normal room.

Lovely hotel. The staff were so accommodating.
Staff Location Spa
9.3
It was an amazing experience. When they discovered we were honeymooners they upgraded our room and twice left gifts for us.

Good Service, But can be Excellent
Spread of Breakfast, Room Size, Scenary
8.7
Pros: - Staff were very helpful and friendly. - Staff speak excellent English. - We were surprised that there were cookies delivered into our room on a daily basis. - Breakfast selection were fantastic and perhaps one of the best among all the other 5 stars hotel that I have stayed before - Room were spacious and clean - Television channels were great, we enjoyed it - Standing shower with temperature gauge were good, however, the water heat up very slowly, it takes around 2 minutes or more to heat up. - Location were good, beside BTS - Tasty food at riverside lounge for cocktail buffet and hi tea buffet Cons: - Light bulb in my room not working (krungthep wing) - Staff friendly, but some service standard gap and inconsistencies need to be improved. For example, the waiter did not know there is a drinking menu on day 1 and day 2, but on day 3, their management personnel walked around to ask guests how was everything, their waiter showed us the drinking menu. - Internet could be more exclusive to the guests by having password, as guest can just login the wifi without any password. In conclusion, I would expect more and not just faulty light bulb in one of the room.

get what you pay for
room, clean but not location
