Great stay. 1. Supermarkets nearby. 2. Convenience store next door. 3. Near multiple train stations from multiple train lines. 4. Local eateries nearby. 5. Very friendly and helpful staff. 6. Rooms were very clean, though small. Will definitely stay there again.

Good value for money budget hotel
Located close to the tokyo subway, easy access to narita airport, restaurants and convenience stores located very nearby
8.3
Pleasant and friendly staff, and they were able to communicate quite well in english. We arrived quite early on the day of check-in (around 1030am), and although the check-in time was at 3pm, one of the female staff was able to get a room ready for us upon our request. That just made our day, as we had an overnight flight and was looking forward to having a shower and short rest. The Kodemmacho subway station is located just a short 3 mins walk from the hotel, and is only 3 stops away from Ueno station, which is where the Narita airport Skyliner express train makes its stop, making it a very convenient access to and from the airport. The room was rather small, but was clean and well maintained with all the facilities available (hair dryer, Fast wifi, water boiler etc.) A family mart convenience store is just located beside the hotel, and many local restaurants are located just a short 5 mins walk away, around Ningyocho station. Overall a good value for money budget hotel

Great value for money!
Access to Subway & Close to Cheap Restaurants

We stayed for 7 nights and it was pleasant. The room is small, but that is true for all rooms in Tokyo. The bed fits the three of us (1 year old toddler) just fine. Amenities such as bath gel, shampoo & conditioner are provided. Extras such as shower caps, razors etc can be requested from the receptionist. There was a good selection of TV channels, although all are in Japanese. Hotel is close to both Kodemmacho (Hibiya line) and Ningyocho (Hibiya and Asakusa line) stations. For affordable Japanese cuisine, Tenya Tempura and Yoshinoya are close by. Two convenience stores, Family Mart and 7-11 are close by as well. Overall, good economy hotel. Would want to stay there again.

Definitely gonna recomended for others. .
Very very good services..cek in n cek out..room services.. Good staff..just a 3 min walk to train...near to bus stop/shuttle to airpot..high speed wifi..

Satisfied...a very great place to stay for tokyo adventures..

Mercure Hotel Narita

Easy access to train station
easy access, near to eating place, free shutter bus to airport
4.7
Easy access to airport and train station. Hotel is very old and rather disappointed with their services provided.

Great location!
Location, friendliness of staff, good price.

We had a nice stay at the Mercure Hotel Narita. Our room was a bit dated, but was clean and quiet. The location was great - we were able to walk to a really nice temple nearby, and hotel staff were very helpful with directions. The only problem was that when I called to inquire about the airport transport that was supposed to be included, staff told me they did not offer that service, so we paid for a taxi. However, when we were actually at the hotel itself, sure enough, front desk staff confirmed that they did indeed have a complimentary shuttle to take us to the airport, albeit with limited options for departure times.

Perfect last day stay before heading back home.
Staff had very good English and were extremely helpful with questions and inquiries. Food and dining options closed late (sushi on level b1 was the best!). Rooms and bed were very comfy.

Perfect stay at mercure hotel! Though it is pretty old and dated, it was comfortable and clean enough for me. Stayed back an extra 4 hrs (which cost me extra aud.$30) to sight see and grab little things I forgot to get along the way, found an autobacs 12mins away from hotel!!

Pleasant and convenient
Location, big room and friendly staff
9
I thought I had enough sightseeing and shopping in tokyo, but Narita is worth another trip around. So many interesting quaint restaurants/stores, temple and garden? I will definitely stay at Mercure Hotel again!!!

Handy to Narita airport with shuttle
Shuttle airport transfer and close to good inexpensive resturants
4.7
Ok.

nice place, service good
nice place, service good, big room
9.7
staff so nice, room very big, near station, also some nice food on there

Nothing wrong with this hotel. It served our needs
Location, location, cheap.
7.3
Uneventful which was desired. Room was clean blah, blah. Staff was friendly blah, blah, like they all are in Tokyo. The reason why I booked the Mercure was that I figured, after 20+ hours of travel time just to get to Japan from Boston USA, the Mercure Hotel has a bus at Gate 16 of the Narita Airport that will happily whisk you to the hotel where you can crash your jet-lagged behind and not have to worry about navigating Tokyo's bewildering array of train lines until the next day. This worked out very well for us. And dig the bus driver's crazy Keds!

Fun and enjoyable
, easy access, affordable rate, clean and tidy
7.7
Memorable, tight sleep, and easy access to resto or convenience store, near train station.

Budget quick stay

Great if you're staying for the night before heading to airport, it has a shuttle bus (huge) to airport at 8.30am, 10am etc A little old and we did notice cock croaches in our room, bathroom wasn't the best compared to Jap standards but hey great for the money

First Cabin Akihabara Hotel

Great budget and compact hotel
Good: location / Price / Service
9.3
Overall is great. The location is very closed to the subway just a few minutes walk and all facilities are clean and in good condition.

One of the best hotel for solo travellers
Location, cleanliness, friendly staff
9
This is my second time staying with first cabin Akihabara. I just love this hotel :) Unlike the traditional capsule or backpacker hotels, First cabin give enough personal space which allows travellers to rest well with very reasonable prices. This is probably one of the best options for solo travellers. One downside is there is no sound proof. If you are a light sleeper and happen to meet some inconsiderate travellers who talk and laugh out loud (which shouldn't have happened according to the hotel's policy) at 1am without noticing other people are probably sleeping, you will have a rough night. Still, I will defo staying in this hotel again when I visit Tokyo next time!

Great for backpacker
Tidy, Compact and convenient.
8.7
The hotel/capsule hotel is very close to the Akihabara JR railway station. Just cross the road and 1 minute walk. Location is prefect for backpacker who does want too much walking everyday to and from the station. The room is big when compare to the real capsule hotel. The place is clean and tidy and for budget travelers, this is a great place to stay.

Great little place
Location, bathroom, cleanliness
9.3
I had a great 3 night stay at First Cabin Akihabara. Mattress might be a bit hard for some people.

Pleasant Surprise
Location, Price, Service
9.3
My stay in first Cabin Akihabara was really a pleasant surprise. First of all, this is not like other capsule hotel. The "capsules" are actually just tiny rooms, rather than a coffin with a bed. You even get a surprisingly spacious lock box to store all your belongings, and so long as your luggage isn't too big, you can have the option of just putting it outside your room or putting them at the front desk. The best thing about this hotel is that you don't have to check out every day of your stay like other capsule hotel, and you can just leave your stuff in your room's locker. Service was impressive, and the place was modern looking and clean. Hotel is only 5 minute away from Akihabara and the subway station. I highly recommend this for travelers to Tokyo.

This is really a 50-bed dorm room: Avoid!
Clean

Bad points - Most of the pictures you see are for the first class cabin. - The business class cabin is probably what you're getting, since there are VERY few 'first class' cabins. These cabins have literally ZERO space other than a single bed and about 30cm of counter-space next to the bed. - There is NO way to completely close the shutter which is supposed to be the 'door' to your cabin. Any time, any one can pull up the shutter and pull you off your bed. Which effectively makes this no different from a gigantic dorm room (50 beds per floor). - The only secure space to keep your valuables is a smaller locker next to your single bed (in a compartment whose cover/top forms the aforementioned 30 cm of counter space). - Due to the complete absence of space, everyone's bags are sprawling all over the narrow corridor. - Very noisy. Unless you are a super sound sleeper, you will invariably be awakened early in the morning simply because you are within 20 metres of another 49 people on the same floor. I am a light sleeper so this was a very stressful environment for me. - I had less space at this hotel than in my army bunk rooms where there'd be 10 or 20 people per room. (Although admittedly I was not in the Japanese army, where you probably get even less space than at this hotel.) I booked for 3 nights, but I was so upset with this place that I left after 2 nights, even though I wasn't sure if I could get back my money for the third night. (Indeed I am still struggling to recover my third night's money from Agoda). Good points - Very clean - 10 minute walk from Akihabara station

Awesome
Good location, friendly staff and comfortable rooms.

Excellent stay
Comfortable and room cabins, equipped with TV, hotel able to store baggage at reception
9
Excellent stay. I was pleased with my previous stay at a capsule hotel (9h Kyoto), but this surpassed it. At First Cabin, they can keep your luggage for you and issue a luggage claim tag. The cabins are comfortable and decently roomy. Mattress is big enough to sprawl in. There is a small bedside ledge where you can place belongings, and also includes a built-in locker. Cabins are cosy. A screen can be pulled down to separate the hallway from cabin. You are allowed to bring your luggage up to the cabins. Most of the guests kept their luggage just outside the cabins while they slept, and deposited it with the reception while out during the day. TV had basic channels like NHK and TBS (which aired the World Cup live while I was there). There is a 3.5mm audio socket built into the wall for you to watch TV quietly. VOD is also available at 1000 yen a night. As for controls, there is a knob to adjust lighting (dimmable), and a knob to adjust fan speed (off/low/high). Temperature is not adjustable. I personally found the cabin too warm, although the hallways were well-cooled. Wi-fi is fast and I did not experience any dead zones, even in the lavatory. Lavatory and bathroom are separated. Both are well-equipped. There is a free spa/onsen at the first floor. The hotel offers a free wake-up service and specifically requests that you use it instead of your own alarm, in order to avoid waking other people. During my stay, it was generally quiet but there were some guests who unpacked and whispered quite noisily for a short while when they returned at midnight. In one of the other hallways, I could hear someone snoring very loudly when walking past on the way to the bathroom. Fortunately, the hotel provides free earplugs. The cost of staying here was twice as much per night as compared to another capsule hotel, and nearly twice as much as a hostel I stayed at in Tokyo but you get what you pay for. I would definitely stay here again.

Amazing
Comfort, Cleanliness, Facilities
8.7
I stayed for two days, and its amazing. They have everything you need(atleast for me). Phone chargers, hairdryers, face wash, soap, lotion, towels, sleepwear... I didn't need to unpack much stuff when I stayed there as everything is provided. Totally worth the price and stay. Would definitely comeback and stay again.

a bit noise

Not bad
Cheap
5.3
It was fairly cheap to stay, but room were small, and made up of wooden partition, little noisy.

Unpleasant, run-down hotel
Decent location
5.3
I don't consider the conditions in this hotel to be commensurate with the cost. The building itself is old and in a fairly poor state of up-keep. The "hotel" is on one of the upper floors and is basically a lobby with toilets, bathing rooms, and then various bedrooms spread out around the floor. The staff are kind but the impression is definitely that enough has been done to meet the minimum requirements for "hotel" designation. The walls and tatami in our room were stained and the room smelled strongly of cigarettes. The place feels dirty and if we could have found other accommodation for the second night we would have left. In my opinion, the savings don't make up for the conditions. I advise you skip this one. see pictures

Close to Shinagawa JR Station; Convenient
Proximity to JR station, shopping mall and restaurants, free bag check
9
The room is not so big like in most Japanese hotels but the lay-out is quite smart. This part of the Prince Hotel is cheaper, older but good value for money. There is a shuttle bus to the airports but it's not free and there is a time table. Taking the train across the street is just as convenient and faster with a slightly lower fare to go to either Haneda or Narita Airport. The only thing I loathed was the smell of tobacco in my room. There was no way to open the window so I could do nothing about it. I was eager to pop out so didn't bother calling room service for that. It's even less not worth the effort if they were going to spray some chemical air fresher as they typically do in my own country... In the mall next to the hotel, there are shops, a convenience store, McDonalds and a book store, kind of nice.

A small room with hospitality services.
Free drinking water & tea, Family Bathroom, Many Manga Books (in Japanese only)
7.7
Alright, good service!! The officers can speak both Japanese & Chinese. The Hotel located on the 5th floor of the building. Silent and Quiet. The lifts are available during 6:00 - 23:00. Suitable for backpackers or few budget.

Really nice and comfortable B&B!
Comfort, proximity to public transport, well equipped facilities
8.7
This was one of the best Minshuku/ Hostel/ B&B ive ever stayed in. Strategically located in between many train lines (4 i think), room (twin) was comfortable and big, plus there were many facilities to make the stay like in a home. (alarm clocks, medicines, bicycles, computers, febreeze etc) you name it, they provide it! An awesome place!
