Green Tiger Vegetarian House

more impressive than expected
staff's attitude is quite nice; the environment is super good and comfortable; location is appropriate
8.7
This trip is so attractive mostly because of this nice accomadation. Many European solo visitors choose here. The locker is larger than my expectation and I could even put my 22" luggage into it. The lobby is fantastic and very comfortable since its design is semi open and there is no window or door. If the weather is not cold, sitting there to chat with friends is a good choice and that's why so many visitors can just sit there drinking beer for the whole afternoon. I was thinking it must be unsafe because of its no door & no window design, thieves can easily get in but eventually my concern was resolved. The staff is pretty hospitable and really nice. The vegetarian breakfast is ok. It's better to trust each other than making any rules. This is a very impressive guest house.

Great place to meet people
The staff ( And owner Daniel) The rooms. The lounge

Fantastic

By far the BEST place to stay in Chiang Mai!
Customer services, breakfast and location

My wife and I had an amazing time at the Green Tiger Vegetarian house. The owner, Daniel and his lovely wife are caring so much about their guests and do their utmost to make the stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. It is really unbelievable how much service and quality you can get for such fair room rates. In detail: 1. Transfer: very friendly driver picked us up at the airport in Chiang mai. Max 8min trip to the hotel 2. Location: hotel its located in the north- west of the old town close to various restaurants, spas and supermarkets 3. Room: we had the superior room. Air conditioning and free wifi everywhere. Clean bathroom. Beds were really comfortable 4. Breakfast: so great. I had the muesli with banana each morning. Coffee is great as well. Fresh smoothies and fresh fruits 5. Trips: the owner was so kind to help us with an elephant tour. I highly recommend that you ask him for advise on what to do in Chiang mai. We also did a Thai massage. Summary : we can highly recommend this place. Nothing to complaint. You won't find such a customer service somewhere else.

Excellent boutique hotel/hostel
Beautiful facility, great staff, friendly guests
9.3
Wonderful little oasis. Loved the downstairs lounge/restaurant and pool area and the upstairs deck as well. Rooms were clean and staff very friendly. Great quiet location in old town...easy to take a taxi or a 20 min walk to east of old town for shopping and more restaurants/bars.

Don't miss this if you are home
The service from all worker. i feel like a home, the place really clean & comfortable and the taste of the vegetarian food really nice.
10
Everything really nice even sometimes they had a little problem but it was quite normal for the guesthouse that full of people but the people here are very friendly and caring us...so i would like to say i luv this guesthouse so much.

Nice accommodation within budget
Friendly staffs, nice environment and clean room
8.3
Location is within the old city. I will definitely stay in this hotel again in future.

Great stay in Chiang Mai
Very helpful staff, beautiful view from the room, unbelievable value for money
10
Perfect.

Excellent!
Stayed in a superior room with balcony. The view was incredible. The room was spacious and very comfortable. All facilities were modern, including a pool which was a real bonus!
8.3
Great choice in Chiang Mai. I'd definitely stay again!

Fantastic!
Very nice staff and very good value for money
8.3
Very comfortable room, complimentary breakfast, nice place and has a swimming pool Overall, it was a nice stay. Gotta go back.

great*caring*insightful
the owner is someone who knows and cares about traveling comfortably at a great price
10
It was great to have quality for such a low price. If I ever return to the Area I wouldnt hesistate to stay again. . I would reccomend to anyone for incredible value with small $ spent!

live up to its review!
convenient, friendly and comfortable
8
Green Tiger definitely live up to it's review. The staff is helpful, the room is comfortable, the lobby area is great, the swimming pool is fantastic and the relaxing area on 4th floor is awesome. Will definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Chiangmai :)

Wonderful place!
The food. Friendly owner and stuff. Cleanliness of the room.
9.7
I spent 5 nights at there and I met a lot of people from different countries. The owner and stuffs keep providing valuable information to the traveller. And I think it is really a wonderful place to stay.

Great oasis in the heart of the old town
Comfortable, great food, good value for money
9.3
Affordability doesn't have to mean dire surroundings! Green Tiger is luxury for the amount of money you are paying for - great aesthetic, warm and comfortable. It is such a homey place that should one tire of exploring, hanging out at Green Tiger is not a bad choice. The owner (and their pets - Coco & Hero) and staff are friendly and very kind. The food is delicious and servings are generous. It is tucked away in a quiet corner of the old town, but with quick accessibility to the main road. Would come back here in a blink of an eye and would recommend to those visiting Chiang Mai

A small oasis
Service, staff and rooftop
9.3
Great stay at the Green Tiger, staff were very accomodating and helpful of all needs.

Very peaceful and comfortable hotel
Very friendly owner, delicious breakfast, and very peaceful environment
9.3
Excellent. Both my dad and I have very good impression of this place with the warm welcome by the owner of the hotel himself (Daniel) whom also helped us to carry our luggage when we first arrived. The place itself is very relaxing and it is very obvious the owner has pay a lot attention in decorating the place in detail to make guests feel at home. The complimentary breakfast that was provided to us were very delicious. The room was also very comfortable. However location wise depends on what the traveller seek for as this hotel is located inside the old town so the place is very quiet, and the good point is it is walking distance to a few of the famous temples. While the crowded night life for example the night bazaar is located outside the old town, about 10-15mins driving distance from this hotel. Overall we are very impressed with the place. I would say it has the best hospitality among all the places that my family have been.

excellent staff, very nice hotel
staff, staff, room
9.3
The hotel is located a bit far away from the hot tourists spots, but no problem, just 15-20 minutes walk. The staff is excellent, helping us alot in the room issue and transportation. 4th floor there is a small open space that can relax and have a nice view around Chiangmai, really enjoying to have a peaceful time there.

Perfect for our needs
1. Clean and comfortable, 2. Staff were very friendly and helpful, 3. good interactions with other guests
9.3
It exceed our expectations. It was in a quiet neighbourhood, wifi was good, vegetarian food was excellent and they were able to accommodate our food requests. Staff were friendly and offered good recommendations of places to eat, and sights to visit. There was a swimming pool and it was close walking distance to sunday walking market. Overall we were very happy and would recommend it as a place to stay for others.

Lotus Pang Suan Kaew Hotel

Very rundown and old
Spacious, quiet and location
6
The whole hotel is very old, the room is spacious but very old and need renovation. On my last night, the water tap purge out brown and rusty water, after the brown and rusty water are out, the shower head and tap keep purging water and not like the flowing water. Very disappointed with the stay.

No bang for you buck!!
location, transportation, shopping
5
There are old hotels with character, others like the Lotus, old with no character. Our stay was passable however for the cost, it was far from ideal. Normally we stay at the hotel next door for half the cost so decided to splurge and upgrade to the Lotus, big mistake. I was shocked when told the hotel was only twenty years old, it appears to have 40-50 years of wear and tear. Porters look disheveled but friendly. Breakfast was adequate. We will never book this hotel in the future.

Nice to stay, good location, need to improve F&B
Location, Room size and Staff service
7.7
Satisfy with our stayed

Fire Trap with Horrible Breakfast
Location, price, bed
4.7
This hotel has thee worst breakfast of any hotel in Thailand! They do have brewed coffee, but that is the only thing I could stomach. They did have toast, but is there any jelly? Pineapple marmalade, yes, but normal jelly no! Since the breakfast was so horrible, I made the stupid decision to order room-service. The menu has a nice picture of a stack of pancakes, so I ordered that. They brought 2 silver dollar sized pancakes that were raw in the middle. They refused to not charge me for the horrible pancakes. Also, I noticed there are no fire sprinklers in this old hotel. The exits are kept locked at night and in the morning before the shopping mall next door opens. If there is a fire in this hotel you will be trapped.

Best value Hotel in Chiangmai
Location, price and Room size
8.3
Large room with full size bath and small sitting room. Nice view of Doi Suthep. Very cheap. Central location in major shopping complex. Very large pool. Reasonable buffet breakfast but not free. Wi-fi free.

Good location
Location, big room, nice view
7.7
It was good nice. the staff were really nice and helpful.

Bob's Review
Comfort, dining and proximity to shopping and other facilities but out of the city centre
8.7
Very comfortable and pleasant. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well maintained by attentive staff.

Wifi next to non-existant...bed was horrible
big room, co-located exercise gym, co-located mall with grocery store
6.7
When the Wifi worked it was extremely slow. It would constantly drop out. In the evening the Wifi did not even exist. The reception staff didn't know what to do about being confronted with that problem. Some reception staff are limited in English ability. The king size bed was the worst bed I've ever slept on. The side of the bed closest to the bathroom obviously has been slept on the most over the years (or decades!) because it had a noticeable sag. Laying on the bed you could feel individual springs in your back. I would wake up with a backache every morning. The elevators are badly programmed. One of the three elevators was not in operation. Sometimes I would wait 5 minutes for the elevator (I was on the 10th floor or I would have used the stairs). Otherwise I like this hotel, but it's heyday is well in the past now...it seems much older than it's 20 year age (probably with the original mattresses). I won't stay here again.

thai classic stye and near important places
food, free shuttle from airport and easy to access attraction

hace nice days . it is near shopping mall

One of the best hotels in Chiangmai
Room Service, great customer service and location
10
Outstanding, great service, great clean room, best location in town

Good stay
nice and beautiful..
8.3
It is an old hotel but it is very comfortable..I cannot rate the food because I didn't eat there..It would be better if it is near anusarn market..

Historic Brutalist Memory of bi-gone era
Sraff, monumentality and quirks
4.7
Strange verging on the surreal. Upon arrival found pool and gym under renovation but suitable, less convenient but generally better alternatives offered in nearby properties. Visitation of China and Indian tour groups put a spicy communist perspective on things! Quite enjoyed the stay but not again!

Good location, cosy room
Location, proximity to shopping and restaurants, nice decor
8
Pleasant and convenient. Will always choose this hotel as my first choice when I visit Chiang Mai.

very good location
location, breakfast and large room
8
it was an awesome hotel at a good location, 10-20 mins walk get you to sunday night market, good shopping mall connected w the hotel. the only reason i gave 3 stars for hotel condition was because its old mildew smell in the room.

Great improvement
Staff, good value for money, service
9
Stayed there two night ago and it's was a disaster. But now I take that back - this night the hotel staff free upgrade us to the junior suite becouse what happened last time and everybody was very nice to us. As a courtesy the hotel decided to give us a nice fruit basket. We will take with us the good part of our stayin and hope to visit the hotel again

RarinJinda Wellness Spa Resort

Great spa hotel
Spa, location, funnydaytour staff
9
Overall it's a great & convenient hotel. The location is about 10 mins walk away from the night market and you can take tuktuk to the old town easily. So it's quiet compared to other hotels right in the city centre. Spa is above average but please book early. Food is good and the view is not bad as it's along the river. There are a few other good restaurants and cafés along the river which are just 1 min walk!

Excellent
Location, service,
9.7
Love it

A very nice hotel to stay near Chiangmai city
Very clean and well maintained. Excellent location for night bazaar, restaurants and golfing. Excellent service from the travel agent Funnyday Tour.
3
We had an excellent stay of five days, touring round the city area, visiting the night bazaar and having good seafood, having massage, playing golf and visiting the long neck village. The staff of Funnyday Tour at the hotel, in particular Cha who made tour and transport arrangements for us and the Driver "Boy" who took us round, provided an excellent service. This was a very enjoyable holiday for us. We would stay at this hotel again next time we visit Chiangmai.

Good Environment, Great breakfast
the room is awesome. , breakfast is great.
7.3
the room is awesome.big.clean and comfortable , but the hotel is a bit far away from the city center, but there have some great restaurant across the street.

Nice hotel, good location
There are free yoga class which really make it a relaxig holiday! Welcome drink is so nice and staff service are very good
7.7
Our stay is really good, although only one night, but we enjoy the facilities and free yoga class. Breakfast is bit disppointing, but the view is nice from the restaurant. Dt expect same level of breakfast as that in BKK in any hotel in Chiang Mai, we stayed in few hotels all similar not really good

the hotel s triple friendly and very much welcome
warm greeting and smile. clean and comfort.
8
Restaurant not so fantastic and the crew not that pleasant. Hotel staff they were amazing and helpful with direction and explanation. Especially when a day tour with the driver from the hotel. He was really great. He helped us took so many pictures for 1 family. Location pretty close with the night market. But for the older family member maybe it will be a little bit too far for them to walk. So suggest to take a short ride with the TuT TuT and is fun!!! My kids loving it very much. Well so far our trip is fun because of the night market shop and shopsss ! Morning local market we find it very cheap stuff such as plate or traditional handmade rattan , its located across the river.

Nice place to stay in Chiang Mai
Good environment, good service and good breakfast
8.3
Although this place is a bit far away from city centre, it's really a good place to stay and you can enjoy a whole day within the resort and go out for the night market at night

Nice spa hotel
Nice room, beautiful pool, quiet
9.3
We got a deluxe room on the 2/F with a balcony that overlooked the swimming pool. The pool is not very big but it's nicely decorated. The sunbathing area is a little bit small with only 8 outdoor lounge chairs. There are not many rooms making it a nice quiet and relax place to stay. One down side is that the hotel's restaurant is located across the street outside of the hotel but the foods there was nice and you can enjoy a great view by the Ping River. The are also a few bars/restaurants nearby. The hotel is quite closed to the night market and there is a shuttle every night at 7pm. We wanted the exercise and the walking distance was only about 15-20 minutes. In general, it's a very nice hotel with friendly staff.

Relax and slow life in Chaingmai
