Pleasant and memorable. Room started to show first sign of ageing but it was well maintained. Staff is friendly provide excellent service. They made effort to memorized your name from front desk, concierge, restaurant and house keeping. Always smiling
We had a fantastic stay. Would recommend this hotel to everyone. Not a thing we could fault. Just one warning - don't have the afternoon high-tea if you are planning to have dinner!
Peaceful n relaxing
Great Spa.
Anantara Chiang Mai was the most beautiful hotel I've ever stayed. The internal and external appearance was so beatiful that so mamy guest usually took the photos. The only thing I was disappointed, that it is so close to the street that I had to hear the traffic noise from lobby to room. The staffs were so kind and ready to hear the request of the guests. I appreciate to the manager.
I stayed in a suite and it was well worth the extra money. The room was extremely spacious and comfortable, lounge was a nice getaway and the free laundry was a real treat. Overall staff was very attentive and took good care of us. Early morning checkout was a bit slow though.
Before you go in the hotel's entrance, outside is a relatively busy road and night market, however, just passed the entrance and going into the lobby, the feeling of peaceful and relaxation you could feel full of your eyes and heart. The staff friendly and warm greeting and respond make you feel no odd feeling at all. The hotel room is excellent with quit romantic feeling and make you feel relax always. The staff always try their best to fulfill your request and make you feel comfortable. The only thing is the hotel had built a quit period ago, some maintenance of the facilities is not in good condition but still worth to stay with your someone you love in your life.
we had a great stay, breakfast is very good, hotel is quite nicely located. swimming pool is a bit narrow and small
Very good
Very good
Having recently [Jan 2014] spent 10 days at a 5 star hotel in Ho Chi Min City had something to compare to. Anantara does not meet the grade. Executive floor was nothing special and not worth the upgrade. Food at the restaurant was overpriced and nothing special, you are much better on your own at the many restaurants in Chiang Mai. Services seemed pricy and an example asked to changed EUR to Baht and the rate was 10% higher that the exchange around the corner. Wont be back.
This is the first time we stayed at this hotel under the Anantara management. We loved going to this hotel when it was managed by Chedi. It is still wonderful. We stayed in the Kasara suite and it is more than enough room for 2 adults and 2 kids. The staff anticipated what we would need as a family and more. The staff in the lounge couldn't do enough to accommodate our kids. Though the hotel doesn't bill itself as a family hotel (e.g. no playroom/playground), this hotel provides more amenities, including proper baby cots, than other hotels that state that they are family friendly. Now the secret is out! Love this hotel. We will definitely be back again.
Not as satisfied as before but will still keep in list for next visit
A very relaxing and pampering experience. Good quality breakfast.
My wife and I stayed here during our visit to Chiang Mai from 4/16-4/20, this was on a recommendation from friends who spent part of their honeymoon here. The way they described it, I thought it was a bit overblown, they hyped this place up so much that I thought if I expect too much I may be let down. BOY WAS I WRONG, it was everything they said and MORE! When we entered the lobby of the airport, we were greeted by an employee from the hotel who was providing us with a free private shuttle back to the hotel. From that moment, the amazing service and hospitality began. We were immediately greeted in the lobby and brought to the Kasara Lounge for our private check in, since we were staying in the Kasara Suite(pool side). I wish I could remember everyones name who worked there so I can give a personal mention to all. They were the nicest people we have probably ever met. Each employee made you feel comfortable and were willing to go above and beyond to provide great service. The room was great, extremely clean and a great size, we had poolside suite on the first level. With the suite, came the free cocktails and canapes in the Kasara Lounge from 6-8 every night. We took advantage of that, drinks were great and food was tasty. The employees remember your name when you walk into the lobby which caught me off guard a few times, normally hotel employees will just go about their work day and walk right by you. We literally did not want to leave this place.Breakfast was also very good. Loved the Two fried eggs sunny side, bacon was crispy, fruit was fresh! The location wasn't bad also, only a few blocks to the night bazaars and a short tuk tuk ride to the old city. The hotel is more on the expensive side in comparison to other places in Thailand, but it was worth every penny! If we can muster up the change to come back to Chiang Mai in the future, there is no doubt in my mind that we will be staying here.
Certainly one of the best experience in hotel stay for me. The design and ambience wre breathtaking, the room has an excellent view of the garden. It was a very restful stay with a peaceful environment. Yet the night market was just a few minutes away. Only issue is getting transportation is a but challenging and there was quite lot of mosquitoes - both not the issues with the hotel but with Chiang Mai in general.
