At that price I would advise my friend to stay. A good location in the older city allows you to walk to/from easily.

outstandingly friendly staff
staff, location,authentic Thai style building

Had an enjoyable stay in a good sized room which was serviced daily by friendly staff. We did not eat at the restaurant because we felt it too pricey compared with numerous restaurants within walking distance. The location was very quiet and just off the main road.

Amazing staff, great location, very clean

Pros: -staff were very nice and accommodating -location is great -no loud noises from main streets, as it is nicely tucked behind main road -rooms were very clean Cons: -need better security at night, as some people were drunkenly swimming at 3am -beds were very hard (typical)

a perfect place to stay
location. staff and atmosphere of areaa

Loved it. every minute was fantastic. We felt like we visited Thailand 100 years ago. Rooms had great Thai feel with all mod cons. Could walk everywhere . In the old section this hotel deserves 10 out of 10. Coffee shop was beaut and the breakfast had all home cooking. Just perfect. Would recommend this hotel to everyone!

Convenient
good location, nice staff, reasonable price

Staff is helpful and nice, superb location - near Sunday market by 3 mins walking distance. Furniture a bit old. Swimming pool too small - c't swim actually.

We were impressed of the hotel since our arrival. The warm welcome we got from the receptionists (2 ladies with a golden smile), made us feel at home immediately. The hotel in all it's aspects is really wonderfull. The super friendly staff, the architecture of the hotel, the traditional Thai music in the background, the fresh aroma when you enter the lobby, the restaurant (with open kitchen, behind glass, to keep the exellent maintained kitchen clean), the great advice for daily trips in and arround Chiang Mai, the nice decorated and clean rooms, ....we were impressed of it!

Nice location and warm, friendly staff
Warm, friendly staff; good location, good value

Was dissapointed cos we need to move to another room due to power failer in our room twice in one night was told by frontdesk guy say upgraded but the new room was actually much smaller and the worse part is the door cant be open on the next morning ... with our key guess the hotelis telling us to leave which we did we move to parvimah resort and spa ...

Central and comfortable
Beautiful staff; security and cleanliness.

It was obvious from the moment we checked in that De Naga staff were family. The team spirit and genuine commitement to the business, each other and especially those who came to stay was second to none.

Nothing above average
Staff friendliness, Location, Large Room

I had been travelling through SE Asia for the previous month and my final 4 days were at De Naga. I have to say that I felt largely disappointed as the room didn't match the amount that I paid for it. I had been staying at similarly priced hotels over the past month and I would have to say that De Naga rated below average for me. The staff were friendly and helpful, this was the main plus. The pool area is small (probably since the hotel is centrally located - lack of space etc) and not a hugely appealing area to hang in. Overall I felt the hotel was looking a little worn and lack lustre. There is a wide selection of food at the buffet breakfast but it didn't match the standards that I had already been experiencing. Would I stay at De Naga again? No - I'll be looking for somewhere else next time I visit Chiang Mai.

Great location, lovely hotel.
Location, decor, room size.

Had a wonderful stay here with a friend. The hotel is in a great spot; very near the walking market. The staff were helpful, particularly when organizing trips. Nice breakfast and lovely cafe on the corner. Pool was small but pleasant. Would definitely stay again.

Central location, close to attractions

Decent hotel, nothing overtly fancy but close to the main attractions. If people are travelling with young kids and interested in the night market then better to stay near night market instead of this hotel. however if ppl are happy to be away from the hustle and bustle of night market then this is a pretty good place. access to restaurants, bars etc nearby plus the fact that we managed to get a car/driver to take us to some of the main attractions helped tremendously.

Ok but ....
