I have stayed several times at the Baboona during my course in Thai cooking I did at Happy Home Cooking School in Pattaya (there is more to this town than Walking Street...). But over the years the hotel has lost its sparkle. It clearly shows its age, many little things are in need of an upgrade: electronic locks that alarm when they shouldn't, furniture that looks overused and should be replaced. Also the breakfast is quite good but also in need of some innovation. Other than that the location right at the beach front is good (if one books a rather expensive seaview room), though the wooden chairs on the balcony could use some soft cussions. Overall, Baboona is a good choice because of the location, but it does not offer the quality and overall experience one would expect from the quite high price. If one does not desperately want or need a room with sea views there are better and more affordable choices in Pattaya.
Unfortunately, the staff at the front desk should go to a training class on customer service. I found them rude and dismissive. But it continued on to the cooks and waiters at the restaurant. Not some place I want to stay again. Too many nice hotels in Pataya.

Everything was very good. But only the room smells like a smoking room. And ceiling was dirty.
Nice hotel, untrained staff , unfriendly n rude esp. Egg station lady n one of the front desk ladies who was unhelpful n doing her make up at the front desk. The hotel needs a staff revamp !
Comfortable, close to beach and easily access to shopping mall via public transport.
An enjoyable stay, and a good deal as it was off peak. Breakfast was limited buffet but had all we needed. We would come back.
Lovely. I had a great time. The staff took effort to speak english although some of them seldom smile. They have a good breakfast buffet. They clean the room although the housekeeping did not change the bed sheets for our 4 nights stay. They provide bathrobe, slippers, toiletries and free drinks in the ref. A/C works very well. Definitely, be back.
The room was relatively big for the price that I have paid. The room has great beach view as well.
This is my 5th time staying there in 3 years
