From beginning to end lovely. Everyone was helpful and kind. The room was spacious, clean and comfy. Great location if you like traveling by sky train. Easy access from airport via airport link.
The hotel is beautiful, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and prompt. 2 things that weren't the best were the carpets, they seem like they haven't been properly cleaned in awhile and you can tell the hotel is a little old. But still great. Also do take note that, the hotel is slightly out from the main shopping areas, taxi drivers might be reluctant to take you if you don't go according to their fees.
The room here was of a high standard, if a little in need of an upgrade in places. Some wear and tear visible. Very comfortable though and all extras included ; bathrobes, slippers, mini-bar, tea/coffee making facilities. The service was a little haphazard from reception to room service and one concern was no life guard on duty in the pool area. At times there were no staff present at all. It was quite disorganised at check-in and on check-out, with the staff seemingly distracted and in a muddle, trying to do multiple tasks at once etc...I was also asked for an extra 450 Baht per day for a child's breakfast (He is only 2 years old) despite paying the full amount as requested on Agoda with zero mention of any extra charges. I told them I wasn't happy with that and they waived it. Breakfast is standard buffet fare, nothing special but still very good. Asian and Western choices. Best aspect of hotel is the pool/steamroom/jacuzzi areas plus a large gym. Overall a very nice stay but I would not call this a fully 5 Star hotel. Lacking in some areas as mentioned above.
Never stayed at a 5 star hotel before but with huge discount on Agoda stayed here for a night. It is a great hotel, with large and luxurious rooms, fast Wifi, great views (from the 16th floor) nice swimming pool, good gym and lots of restaurants and shops all presented to a high standard. I throughly recommend this hotel if you can afford it!
It was ok. We had a bit of problem with the cab drivers from the hotel. We each time told the porter the address of where we wanted to go and ended up somewhere terrible where the food was mediocre and expensive. The sonboondee next to Sukosol an example. We wanted to go to the real seafood restaurant and got stomack acke instead. Very very disappointing.
I've been coming to the Sukosol for many years and it has always been a great pleasure to stay there for both business and pleasure. Great location... great breakfast... great gym and pool and wonderful staff. Decent price and would recommend it to everyone! Cheers
